The Museum of Sydney Harbour is designed to be the new permanent home of Sydney Heritage Fleet. It is also designed to be a community hub, with waterfront access throughout and facilities and activities for the community and visitors.

The idea to combine captivating maritime stories, treasured historical vessels within a vibrant location in Sydney Harbour is the unique concept of Museum of Sydney Harbour.

Sydney’s former VIP and Vice-regal steam yacht, Lady Hopetoun has probably carried more famous people on her decks than any other vessel in Australia.

The weather wasn’t always kind, but even on the dampest days we had visitors to the information sessions who came out of the rain to chat with us. On the sunny days there was no shortage of visitors.

The Museum of Sydney Harbour concept is designed for maximum community access and participation. It is also designed to complement the other heritage features on the Waverton peninsula; The Coal Loader, Quarantine Launch Depot, Balls Head, its indigenous sites, and the Bay itself.
